Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Growing Roots Academy is operated by Growing Roots ltd ("we", "us"). When you create an account or book classes, you are entering into an agreement with Growing Roots ltd.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, enrolling a child or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

3. The service

We provide live online classes, learning plans, progress tracking and related tools for homeschooled children in Years 1 to 11. Accounts are held by parents or guardians, who are responsible for their children's use of the service.

4. Your account

• You must be 18 or over and the parent or legal guardian of any child you enrol.
• Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. In particular you must not:

• use the service for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent, or to send spam;
• post content that is abusive, discriminatory or inappropriate for a children's learning environment;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property, including by recording or redistributing lessons without permission;
• interfere with the security of the service, including uploading malware, probing for vulnerabilities or scraping content.

6. Intellectual property

Growing Roots ltd owns the service and all of its content, including lesson materials, software, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your family's own education. You must not resell, copy or reverse engineer it.

7. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. 8. Service availability

We work hard to keep classes running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Occasionally a live class may need to be rescheduled.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account if there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious breaches of our acceptable use rules. When an account is closed, we delete or anonymise its data in line with our Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
